Nirvana

represented by the Gautama Buddha, is liberation from the recurring cycle. Thought of as being a state completely free of worry or suffering, Nirvana is the goal we all strive to achieve a complete "end of the physical world" with no boundaries for the mind.

The Mudras, hand gestures of Buddha, are different hand gestures that hold significant meanings and mystical powers. There are many different mudras that are used in spiritual practice because of the depictions seen of Buddha doing the same. These specific hand placements have been said to have influence on the energies of the body and, in many cases, to cure ailments.

The Footprints of Buddha are one of the oldest representations of the Buddha and symbolizes the groundedness of the transcendent. Said to have been left behind when Buddha leapt from earth and went beyond the physical realm, the footprints remind us not only of his existence, but also of his absence and our own personal journey toward Nirvana.
